This is my family tree dating from 1731 in Virginia. This family is quite extensive. My branch of the family is in Ohio. We believe, although we do not know, that our original ancestor was French (Odyeur perhaps). It is speculated that a French sea captain Gabriel Odyeur was this person. Our history begins with Joseph Oder born 1731 in Virginia. Mine is the seventh generation of Oders in America.
